In RE2, you'll frequently run into these formidable foes known as Lickers. Which of the following is not one of their unique traits?

  • A tongue longer than you'd think was possible

  • Visual acuity that lets them hunt their prey in the dark

  • Abnormally-developed sense of hearing

First let's look at A, "A tongue longer than you'd think was possible."

Well, since their name, Licker, comes from someone who licks things...this naturally is not the right answer! I thought I'd throw our dedicated RE fans a bone here with an easy option!

What would you even do with a tongue that long?

Next, let's look at C, "Abnormally-developed sense of hearing."

Responding to sound in order to hunt their prey is one of the unique traits of the Lickers, so this is also not the correct answer! If you find yourself in close proximity, you'd better be as light on your feet as a ninja!

A Licker here, of all places! (whispered) Be very, very quiet...

That means that the correct answer is B, "Visual acuity that lets them hunt their prey in the dark."

In contrast to their abnormal hearing abilities, Lickers have lost their sense of sight. You can utilize this to your advantage in avoiding them. However, since they use their excellent sense of hearing to compensate, you still need to exercise plenty of caution when you encounter one - finding them early will be the key!

Managed to get this close, but the Licker is wise to Claire's game...

Thanks for joining us for another peek into the wide world of RE lore. We hope you were able to see the correct answer without getting licked!

Correct answer: B
Visual acuity that lets them hunt their prey in the dark
