In the original Resident Evil, Jill sets off a trap that almost turns her into a Jill Sandwich.
But what lead to the trap being set off?

  • An elimination test from Captain Wesker

  • A twisted expression of Chris's love for her

  • Jill took a powerful weapon

First let's look at A, "An elimination test from Captain Wesker."

He said he was going to secure the Main Hall...and then promptly disappeared. What's he up to? That's pretty suspicious...but our free-flying captain isn't the one responsible for the falling ceiling, so it's not the correct answer.

He said he was going to secure this area...liar.

Next, let's take a look at B, "A twisted expression of Chris's love for her."

If the player picks Jill, poor Chris doesn't really appear much. We'll see him during the game's climax, but as he's not around, and has nothing to do with this trap anyway, it's also not the correct answer.

A rare shot of Chris behind bars. Poor guy doesn't look like he's having a good day...

That means the correct answer is C, "Jill took a powerful weapon"!

RE fans will probably remember that this trap was set into motion after Jill took the powerful shotgun. I wonder how many players worldwide got caught in this trap (personally, I got caught in it as well...). Uh-oh, the ceiling is coming down again...hey, Barry? Barry!

Good 'ol dependable Barry!
