Smaller than life

Castle Salazar in Resident Evil 4 has a number of exciting "attractions" as I'm sure you all know, but perhaps one of the more fun ones was the real-life shooting gallery.

In the shooting gallery you are scored on how many of the wooden cutouts of in-game characters you can shoot. Bonus points can be earned by shooting the tiny Salazar target at the back of the gallery that appears from time to time, although I seem to remember it being pretty tricky.

Then again we are talking about Salazar after all, it should be no surprised that his cutout is just as tiny as the subject matter...

  • For me, the shooting galleries were the most difficult part of RE 4. In fact, the only way I could pass all the shooting galleries and get all the action figures in the game was to play the Wii version. In that version of the game, aiming was much easier, because you use the Wiimote instead of an analog stick. Thanks to the Wii version, I was able to score high enough in all the shooting galleries to complete my action figure diorama!
